El pasado viernes 19 de abril se celebró en el Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid una nueva edición de La Noche de los Libros, un acto que tuvo lugar en el patio de la Biblioteca del ICAM contando con la participación del escritor Javier Puebla.
El patio del ICAM, abarrotado de público, ofreció a los asistentes una charla-coloquio del escritor Javier Puebla, autor de «El sabor del último beso: Alfonso de Portago, el marqués sin miedo», nieto de Vicente Cabeza de Vaca y Fernández de Córdoba, marqués de Portago, quien mandara construir la Casa-palacio que lleva su nombre.
El acto fue presentado por el Diputado-Bibliotecario del ICAM, Emilio Ramírez Matos, y el coloquio fue conducido el responsable de la Biblioteca, Mario Barabino. Javier Puebla nos contó cómo surgió la novela, cómo se había interesado por este personaje que llevó la vida al límite durante sus 28 años de vida.
Alfonso de Portago fue uno de los pioneros del automovilismo deportivo en los años 50, pilotando para Ferrari, y vivió en el palacio que hoy es sede institucional del Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid.
El acto finalizó con la intervención del Grupo de Teatro del ICAM, dirigido por María Göher, que representó el espectáculo «Un encuentro en la casa de los libros», sobre un hipotético encuentro entre Shakespeare y Cervantes.
